This morning I rode my bicycle to the Minneapolis Uptown Art Fair. It's been several years since I've attended.
Most of the art is interesting. People watching is good. There are plenty of food and beverage trucks/stands. And I had nothing else going on today.
There is a free bicycle valet service. Riders leave bikes at a fenced-in area with people monitoring everything. No need to lock. I unclipped my pannier bag and carried it with me like a man-purse. It contained some bottles of water and my regular glasses (so I could switch out with sunglasses). My heavy, urban bike lock and a cable were in the bag. I didn't think to leave them with the bike. The bag got uncomfortable to carry after a while.
Several artists do paintings or drawings of the Minneapolis skyline. I always like those. The artisanal, hand-made, all-natural bars of soap interest me too. Today I didn't buy any, but other times I get some despite them being pricey. I saw some really beautiful dining tables made from enormous, solid chunks of wood for the table top.
This set of drinking fountains running from a fire hydrant looked cool (figuratively and literally).
Tumblr media
I got paella from this stand. It was delicious and expensive. But my economics degree tells me that with a short, steady line the owner has a pretty solid price point.
All the food and beverage places are up front about expecting tips these days. There's not really any service involved. "Here is your bowl of food. We don't have tables and chairs, so you'll have to stand somewhere. Help yourself to napkins. So would you like to add 15, 20, or 25% to price?"
Tumblr media
The tall, narrow shelves of pottery make me nervous. People tend to look one way and walk another. Children and dogs are everywhere. Yet I didn't see or hear a single vase or mug break.
Tumblr media
Numerous THC-CBD stands featured seltzers, drops, gummies, potions, elixirs, and salves. There was a bit of a snake oil vibe as sellers described all the ways CBC would improve one's life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I bought a can of beer. Despite this being an event, the price was a respectfully low $5. A stand next door sold bottles of water for $4. It's nice knowing that the malt, hops, and yeast that came with my water added only a buck to the price.
From the land of sky blue waters. That was the line in the old commercials with the Hamm's Bear (he got a home run in that commercial below).
Tumblr media
youtube
I think I saw every art display. After finishing my Hamm's and paella I retrieved my bike from the free valet. Those people provided a worthwhile service and deserved a tip. I didn't mind putting something in their jar.
One the way home I passed a small neighborhood brewery. Is a bike ride complete if don't stop at a brewery?

Ah little loves and darlins. The birthday goes well. Got to see Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice and it wasn’t bad. One scene near the end went on too long but I genuinely laughed a few times and they handled the lack of the actor for Charles Deetz better than I expected. I got to go to dinner at Outback Steakhouse which I haven’t gotten to go to and enjoy for a couple years - if I’m being taken out I choose more cheaply (part of the “I’m not worth it, please don’t spend your money on me” complex) so when my stepmom said we should go I was all for it. Got a free piece of cheesecake to bring home from a very wonderful server.
Now for the rest of the evening, I think I’ll try to write more chapter five (it’s about half done) and when everyone else goes to bed I have a date with the hot tub, a … battery buddy …, cheesecake, and CBD/THC oil. Tomorrow is home made steak dinner and blood orange mead from J-Bird Wines. Sunday I get to go to the Dead End Hay Ride - I had to sign a waiver!
So thank you (especially @zenyteehee - you’re a wonderful person!) all for reading and following both me and my story.

Cannabis Beverages: A better way?
Cannabis beverages are rapidly gaining popularity in the cannabis industry, offering a novel and discrete way to consume cannabis. These drinks come in various forms, including teas, sodas, and even cocktails, infused with cannabinoids such as THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). This post explores how cannabis beverages are made, their advantages over other consumption methods, and tips for safe and responsible use.
How Cannabis Beverages Are Made
Decarboxylation: The first step in making cannabis beverages is decarboxylation. This process involves heating cannabis to activate its psychoactive properties. Raw cannabis contains THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) and CBDA (cannabidiolic acid), which must be converted into THC and CBD, respectively, through heating.
Extraction: After decarboxylation, cannabinoids are extracted from the cannabis plant. This can be done using various methods, including CO2 extraction, ethanol extraction, or oil infusion. CO2 extraction is often preferred for its efficiency and ability to produce a pure, high-quality product.
Emulsification: Cannabinoids are hydrophobic, meaning they do not mix well with water. To create a stable beverage, emulsification is necessary. This involves breaking down the cannabinoids into tiny particles and suspending them in the liquid using an emulsifier. Nanoemulsion technology is commonly used, which reduces the cannabinoid particles to nano-sized droplets, enhancing their absorption and effectiveness.
Infusion: The emulsified cannabinoids are then infused into the beverage base. This base can be anything from water, tea, soda, or even alcoholic beverages. The infusion process ensures that the cannabinoids are evenly distributed throughout the liquid.
Flavoring and Packaging: The final step involves adding flavors to enhance the taste of the beverage and packaging it in a way that maintains its freshness and potency. This may include adding natural fruit flavors, sweeteners, or other ingredients to create a palatable and enjoyable drink.
Advantages of Cannabis Beverages
Discretion and Convenience: Cannabis beverages are highly discreet and convenient. Unlike smoking or vaping, which can be conspicuous and produce a strong odor, cannabis beverages look and feel like any other drink. This makes them ideal for social settings or for individuals who prefer a more private way to consume cannabis.
Precise Dosage: One of the significant benefits of cannabis beverages is the ability to control dosage accurately. Each beverage typically indicates the amount of THC or CBD it contains, allowing users to consume a specific amount. This is particularly beneficial for medicinal users who require precise dosages to manage their symptoms.
Faster Onset and Duration: Compared to edibles, which can take up to two hours to take effect, cannabis beverages generally have a faster onset time. The nanoemulsion technology used in many cannabis drinks allows for quicker absorption into the bloodstream, leading to effects that can be felt within 15 to 45 minutes. Additionally, the effects of cannabis beverages can last longer than smoking or vaping, providing extended relief.
Healthier Alternative: For health-conscious consumers, cannabis beverages offer a smoke-free alternative to enjoy the benefits of cannabis. Smoking cannabis can have adverse effects on the lungs, while beverages eliminate this risk entirely. Additionally, many cannabis beverages are formulated with low-calorie or health-oriented ingredients, appealing to those who prioritize their overall well-being.
Safe and Responsible Use of Cannabis Beverages
Start Low and Go Slow: If you are new to cannabis beverages, start with a low dose and give it time to take effect before consuming more. The potency of cannabis beverages can vary, and individual tolerance levels differ. Beginning with a small amount helps to avoid overconsumption and any unwanted side effects.
Understand the Dosage: Pay close attention to the dosage information on the label of the cannabis beverage. Most products will specify the amount of THC and CBD per serving. Understanding the dosage helps you manage your intake and achieve the desired effects without exceeding your tolerance.
Be Mindful of Timing: The onset time for cannabis beverages can be shorter than edibles but still requires some patience. Avoid consuming additional doses too quickly. Wait at least 30 to 45 minutes to assess the effects before considering more.
Stay Hydrated: Like any beverage, it is essential to stay hydrated when consuming cannabis drinks. Drinking water alongside your cannabis beverage can help mitigate any potential dehydration and maintain overall well-being.
Avoid Mixing with Alcohol: Combining cannabis beverages with alcohol can intensify the effects of both substances and may lead to uncomfortable or adverse reactions. It is best to avoid mixing the two, especially if you are unfamiliar with how your body responds to cannabis.
Store Safely: Keep cannabis beverages out of reach of children and pets. Store them in a cool, dark place to preserve their potency and prevent accidental consumption.
Know the Laws: Be aware of the legal status of cannabis beverages in your area. Regulations regarding the purchase, possession, and consumption of cannabis products vary by region. Ensure you are compliant with local laws to avoid any legal issues.

How to Make Potent Weed Brownies
Tumblr media
Cannabis edibles have been gaining popularity as they allow consumers to cater to their sweet tooth and cannabis cravings at the same time. It is a pleasurable method of consumption as it tastes delicious, doesn’t affect the user's lungs, and can be made at a mild or strong potency. The high comes on a little slower, and the strength can be dependent on how much food you have consumed before taking your edible. Edibles have also been well known to help those who suffer from insomnia as they produce a very relaxing high.
The original and most famous edible is none other than the Weed Brownie. THC brownies can sometimes be found at your local dispensary if you live in a legal state or have a medical card. If you live in a state where THC is still recreationally illegal, CBD brownies can be purchased online. For those who don’t have access to purchasing pre-made brownies, or would like a more cost-effective solution, the best thing to do is roll up their sleeves and make a batch. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a newbie in the kitchen, this guide is designed to make your weed brownie baking experience as smooth and enjoyable as your final product.
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
Your favorite brownie mix
Vegetable oil or melted butter (as per your mix’s instructions)
Eggs
Water
Decarboxylated Cannabis
Pro Tip: If you would like to make a gluten-free or slightly healthier brownie, substitute your vegetable oil or butter with coconut oil. Coconut oil is not only gluten-free but also a fantastic fat for cannabis infusion. It has a high saturated fat content, making it excellent at absorbing cannabinoids. Plus, its subtle, sweet flavor complements the chocolatey richness of the brownies.
Supplies:
Mixing bowl
Strainer
Pot and lid
Baking pan
Parchment paper or Aluminum Foil
Tumblr media
Importance of Decarboxylation
One of the most critical steps in creating potent and effective weed edibles, including our beloved brownies, is decarboxylation. This process might sound complex, but it's actually simple chemistry that makes a world of difference in your baking. Understanding the science behind it not only enhances your baking skills but also ensures you're getting the most out of your cannabis. Let's break down what decarboxylation is and why it's so essential.
Raw cannabis contains THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid), which is non-psychoactive. This means that consuming raw cannabis won't give you the 'high' associated with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Decarboxylation transforms THCA into THC, the compound known for its psychoactive properties. Decarboxylation ensures that the psychoactive and medicinal properties of THC and CBD are activated. Without this process, your weed brownies might taste great, but they won’t deliver the effects you’re looking for. If you have the option to select your strain, this will dictate the effects of your weed brownies. Indica helps with relaxing, Sativa helps with uplifting, and hybrid for a bit of both.
Tumblr media
How to Make Potent Weed Brownies
Step 1: Decarb your Cannabis
Break It Down: Start by breaking your cannabis buds into small pieces. This increases the surface area and ensures more even decarboxylation.
Spread Evenly: Spread the cannabis evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. This prevents sticking and ensures even heat distribution.
Low and Slow: Bake in a preheated oven at 240°F (115°C) for about 30-40 minutes. This time can vary depending on the moisture content of your cannabis. The color should change to a dark green color and be dry to the touch once finished.
Cool Down: Allow the cannabis to cool after removing it from the oven. It’s now ready for use in your edibles.
Pro Tip: If you have the time, put your weed in a metal tea holder, coffee filter, or strainer and boil it for 5 minutes before decarbing. This removes any dirt and contaminants and will ultimately lead to a better-tasting oil or butter without any earthy taste and aroma. You must remove the herb from the boiling water, put it in ice, and form it into a ball to squeeze out any moisture. Please note that you may need to decarb at slightly higher temps for longer. Some may think that boiling the weed would decrease potency, but it does not and your brownies will come out just as potent and much better tasting.
Tumblr media
Step 2: Infuse Your Oil or Butter
Now that your bud has been decarboxylated, it is time to infuse it with your oil or butter. Infusing your oil or butter is where your weed's potency gets transferred to your brownies. Mix your decarboxylated cannabis with your choice of fat (oil or butter) and gently simmer for 2-3 hours. This slow infusion ensures maximum THC absorption. Once done, strain the mixture to remove the plant material.
Tumblr media
Step 3: Strain Your Canna-Oil or Canna-Butter
This is the messiest step, but is essential in removing the small pieces of herb from your oil and butter. Simply pour the butter through a strainer and press any pieces of weed to extract any last drops of oil or butter that the herb has absorbed.
Tumblr media
Step 4: Mix Your Brownie Batter
Mix your brownie batter as per the package instructions, substituting regular oil or butter with your cannabis-infused version. Stir well to ensure even distribution of the cannabis oil.
Tumblr media
Step 5: Bake and Enjoy
Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake as per the brownie mix instructions. Once baked, let them cool (the hardest part is waiting!), cut them into even pieces, and enjoy your homemade weed brownies.
Tips to get the most out of your weed brownie experience.
Do not consume food two hours before eating your weed brownie. This ensures your stomach will only be focused on digesting your weed brownie and the THC and CBD inside of it.
If you are worried about the strength, you can find potency calculators online, which will help you determine the number of milligrams in each brownie. A single dose is 5mg, so beginners should start there and gradually eat more. The strength will be largely dependent on the user's weight and food consumption prior to ingesting the brownie.
Pair your brownie with a nice beverage. Coffee, milk or wine are all beverages that paid exceptionally well with weed brownies due to their effects and taste.
Invite some friends for a helping hand with preparing and enjoying the brownies. Chances are you’ll want some help with the prep, cooking, and cleaning as making weed brownies can be laborous, but very rewarding. Who better to show off your new recipe and share the fruits of your labor with than close friends!
Store your leftovers in a cool dry place and airtight container. If you made more than you can consume in a week, it is recommended to freeze them and defrost them a few hours before you’re ready to consume them for the most freshness.

Great Edibles for Beginners That Can Be Delivered in Canada!
Tumblr media
Everyone has either heard or lived the horror stories of consuming too many milligrams of THC on accident while getting carried away eating edibles. It’s a stereotype at this point that at the very moment anyone says “These edibles ain’t shi…” they hit with a vengeance. Paranoia, anxiety, spins, racing heart and more can be the outcome of too much too fast. Some people throw up. Clearly this is an outcome nobody wants. It’s even worse when you accidentally do it to someone else with a simple cookie. So, how can you avoid that?
Well, unsurprisingly it’s pretty simple. Monitoring your dosing and waiting sufficient time between eating more is the key. For beginners who don’t know their tolerance level this can be difficult. A good amount to start with is 10 milligrams of THC. Wait an hour after ingesting and see how you feel. Proceed with caution with the next dose and wait again.
Many initiates to edibles think the dose isn’t working and keep stacking. Next thing you know, they’ve eaten the entire bag of gummies or chocolates and are blasting off into a very uncomfortable space. Similarly, some folks just don’t know how hard each milligram will hit them and end up downing an entire 100 mg drink for their first experience. (Drinks hit faster) That’s sure not to end well. Make sure when shopping to find products with a low dose per piece. This will be paramount to you successfully enjoying your time baked. Below we will explore some good options made by a company called Boost, a cannabis brand passionately owned and operated by fellow Canadians who share your deep affection for the herb, and are on a mission to showcase their array of offerings to the nation. Their specialty lies in the creation of meticulously hand-crafted edibles, carefully designed to accompany you through your day. With a commitment to excellence, Boost exclusively infuses each of their creations with the finest distillate extracts, ensuring a pure delight that can be relied upon.
Dedicated to ethical and sustainable practices, they proudly employ organic, non-GMO, and cruelty-free ingredients, epitomizing the kind of integrity we all seek in a cannabis company. This translates to an all-natural, plant-based indulgence, promising both mental and physical well-being—provided you don’t indulge too enthusiastically, of course. Let’s look at some of their products.
1:1 CBD THC Gummies
CBD counteracts some of the psychoactive effects of cannabis, so these one to one ratio CBD/THC gummies with 10 milligrams of each per gummy are a great choice for people looking for a little buzz and a little pain relief. People love CBD and many report it helps with insomnia, pain and inflammation. Also, who doesn’t love Blue Raspberry flavoured candy?
These gummies are a versatile solution, ideal for both medicinal purposes and for achieving the right mindset before tackling new challenges. The company has successfully retained the delectable flavour of their gummies while delivering the full spectrum of benefits from both cannabinoids. These gummies contain Ascorbic Acid, Citric acid, colour, gelatine, glucose syrup, MCT oil, sugar, sunflower lecithin, THC distillate and CBD isolate. The use of distillate and isolate with MCT oil means that the flavour won’t be weedy and the body will uptake the cannabinoids through the fat in the coconut oil.
Green Apple THC Gummies
Boost, a cannabis company hailing from the Great White North, is dedicated to delivering a trifecta of excellence – quality, purity, and potency – through their delectable THC and CBD-infused edibles. Despite their relatively recent introduction to the cannabis scene, Boost is rapidly etching its mark, captivating enthusiasts with a tantalizing product lineup and the use of top-tier ingredients.
Their green apple gummies contain 10 milligrams of THC each. Just enough for the novice to feel, but hopefully not enough to send them to the dark side of the moon.
Variety Pack THC Gummies
Struggling to make up your mind when it comes to selecting your THC-infused gummy flavour? That’s cool bro. Boost has an enticing solution in the form of their THC Variety Pack, You’ll get an assortment of delectable flavours in one convenient package. This delightful assortment includes four of their most sought-after gummies: Sour watermelon, sour green apple, cherry, and strawberry-blue raspberry. In each of these chewy candies, a delightful 10 mg dose of pure THC distillate awaits. The worst part about this pack is that you’ll want to try one of each flavour immediately. I know I would, and without a decent tolerance, you’re blasting off.
Just remember if you ever eat too many edibles, it will all pass and you’ll be fine. Fire up something stupid on Youtube and bliss out until the spins stop. You’re not going to be the first person in history to overdose and die from weed consumption…or are you?

Is CBD Oil Safe and Worth Your Money?
A medical cannabis expert weeds the hype from the truth about the herbal cure for pain, depression, anxiety and insomnia.
You can’t turn on a daytime TV program or flip open a lifestyle magazine without hearing or reading about CBD, short for cannabidiol. It’s the biggest buzzword in holistic health news, and statistically speaking, it is expected to reach around 1.8 billion dollars in U.S. consumer sales by 2022, a whopping increase from around half a billion dollars in 2018.
What exactly is CBD?
CBD is the non-intoxicating component of the cannabis sativa plant. Cannabis plants can either be classified as hemp or marijuana depending on the quantity or percentage of THC in either plant. This distinction was established by the FDA: Cannabis plants with 0.3 percent or less of THC are considered hemp and those with more that 0.3 percent are consider marijuana.
So in a nutshell, CBD that is derived from hemp will not make you high. You should also ask your primary physician about using CBD while taking medications.
Kisha Vanterpool, medical director of Medicinally Jointed, a medical cannabis spa and alternate health practice located in South Philadelphia, says the biggest misconception her patients have is understanding the difference between CBD and THC.
“Some associate CBD solely with cannabis (marijuana) which carries its own stigma of being used to attain a high,” the board-certified internist explains. “But really, cannabis is an herbal medicine that has many benefits. Through educating my patients around the plant as medicine and how it interacts within our bodies, patients then become more open to its use.”
What is CBD used for?
Studies show consumers are using CBD — sold in oils, lotions, balms, bath salts, coffee, oral sprays and gummies — as a specific therapy for pain, anxiety, depression and sleep disorders. Depending on the product, prices range from $20 to $100.
Nira Hyman turned to CBD three years ago to help manage chronic back pain and joint inflammation she’s endured for about 15 years. The 46-year-old was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, a type of rheumatoid arthritis called ankylosing spondylitis, which affects the spine.
“Chronic pain is quite isolating, so I’m open to trying almost anything. My research led me to THC, then to CBD. It helps mute the pain. It’s still there, but the volume of the pain is dialed down. CBD doesn’t manage my pain on its own, but using that along with other stuff on my regimen can make a difference,” she says.
“Most of what I use is handmade. It’s expensive but worth it. Friends ship balms or soaks to me. And yes, the sellers are Black. I believe strongly that Black women belong in the cannabis industry, so the louder our voices the better.”
The Brooklyn, New York, native also uses CBD to alleviate anxiety. “It may be a placebo effect, but I do feel it helps my anxiety. And I prefer using something that’s natural and naturally medicinal. I’d much rather take CBD — and I do use high doses — than opioids. My doctors agree, off the record,” says Hyman.
Vanterpool recommends CBD to her female patients to help them with anxiety, insomnia, hot flashes, menstrual cramps, endometriosis and other chronic pain. When shopping for CBD products, she suggests consumers research the product “to ensure that it truly contains CBD and has been tested for contaminants such as pesticides, bacteria and fungus/mold.”
Is CBD FDA-regulated?
Not currently. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently published a consumer update on its website (FDA.gov) that addresses the claims that cannabinoid (CBD) is a cure-all, risk-free miracle drug.
Although the FDA is presently gathering data from health professionals, cannabis industry representatives and patients to learn more about the efficacy of CBD, the agency wrote, "there are many unanswered questions about the science, safety and quality of products containing CBD.”
Where can I find CBD products in my area, and is it legal in all fifty states?
Remember the 69-year-old grandmother from North Carolina who was arrested at Disney World for packing CBD oil in her purse?
Federal law says CBD oil products are legal to possess if they contain no more than 0.3 percent THC, and CBD products are readily available online. Do your research to find products that are safe, effective and legal. Consumerreports.org has an informative guide. Be aware, however, that some states like Florida, Ohio and Texas generally don’t differentiate hemp from marijuana. So before you purchase or travel with CBD, check the state laws.

Does CBD work for pets? Ok for those not interested in the details. YES! CBD can be great for our four legged friends! A lot of you have likely heard a little about CBD for pets but there are still a lot of questions we need to ask. How can CBD help my pet? How should I administer it? What dosage is recommended? Why does it work? Can it be harmful? We have introduced our new pet line with 2 tinctures seperate flavors for Dogs & Cats: PET CBDAll great questions so let’s touch on each one. What are the benefits of CBD for pets?Promote General HealthReduce InflammationReduce PainIncrease appetiteReduce Anxiety (Social anxiety; Car anxiety; Veterinary fears; Thunderstorms; Separation anxiety)Alleviate Cancer related health problemsAlleviate OsteoarthritisAnticonvulsive effectsPalliative careNo toxicity or negative side effects *Unlike the damage incurred on the liver and kidneys with prescription medsHow Should I Administer CBD To My Pet?So this is a neat little fact that you may or may not be aware of. An animal’s biological system shares a 70% similarity to ours. Pretty cool! Also that endocannabinoid system that we all have and naturally produce cannabinoids in our brain…yes that’s part of the 70% and our furry friends have them too. So they can benefit from CBD just as much as we can. And administration is pretty similar to how we would take it. If your giving your pet a tincture you can either put the dropper directly into the dog’s mouth under his/her tongue (which could get a little hairy dependent on your dog) or you can just place it on your dog’s food just prior to consumption *That’s my personally preferred method but to each his own. The only thing you want to keep in mind if you have one of those dogs that’s just a grazer you’ll want to time putting the oil on his food around when she’s going to eat it because it will degrade if left on food for more than 30 minutes. It’s not the end of the world but if you planned on given him 10mg he could be getting only half of that or less. What is the correct dosage for my pets?So just like people there is no one size fits all. And there are some differences in pets as well. The way that a pet metabolizes CBD is a little bit different then people (it stays in their system longer). Also there has been some research showing negative side effects from THC in pets. No research has shown negative side effects from CBD. So why is THC potentially bad and CBD ok? Personally I don’t think either are bad it’s just a matter of proper dosing and the differences in metabolism. However, the psychoactive properties of THC can confuse and cause anxiety. Animals are more receptive to the cannabinoids and they can last longer in their system.Step 1:  Make sure that any CBD pet product you get is whole hemp processed (so all phytocannabinoids are in there), grown domestically in the good old USA (so we can be sure it’s free of pesticides), is 3rd party tested, and has less than .3% THC.Step 2: Weigh your dog and convert that weight to kg. Easier said than done for some. If you’re not sure and your German Sheppard doesn’t feel like getting on your scale today, make your best guess. All we are doing is getting a baseline to start with and you will adjust based on the effects. It works faster on animals than people so you’ll know quickly!Step 3: You want to start off giving your pet .3mg of active CBD for every kilogram of weight. So if your dog weighs 20lbs just convert that to Kg (20/2.2 = 9.09kg) Then multiply by .3 (9.09 x .3 = 2.7mg) So 3mg of  CBD would be a good daily starting point.Pets Weight (In Lbs)Weight (In Kg) Conversion (weight in kg x .3)Recommended Daily Dose5 lbs2.2720.6811mg CBD10 lbs4.5451.3631.5mg CBD15 lbs6.8182.0452mg CBD20 lbs9.092.7273mg CBD25 lbs11.3633.4093.5mg CBD30 lbs13.6364.094mg CBD35 lbs15.9094.7725mg CBD40 lbs18.1815.4545.5mg CBD45 lbs20.4546.1366mg CBD50 lbs22.7276.8187mg CBD55 lbs257.57.5mg CBD60 lbs27.2728.1818mg CBD65 lbs29.5458.8639mg CBD70 lbs31.8189.5459.5mg CBD75 lbs34.

After about 3-5 days, increase or decrease as necessary (lets say it makes your dog more sleepy during the day for example reduce dosage and give with dinner). Or perhaps your dog shows some improvement but not enough. Just increase the dosage by giving twice a day and repeat the 3-5 day assessment period. Why does CBD Work On My Pet?The same reasons CBD works for us. We all already create cannabinoids it’s part of your and your pets biological system. CBD triggers the release of cannabinoids into the endocannabinoid system in animals which then attach to the same CB1 and CB2 receptors we have, but for a longer period of time which likely accounts for the increased effectiveness we hear about in individual reports. Can it be harmful?  The great thing about CBD is that there are no toxicity levels found to date. Your dog could accidently get into your CBD stash and while she may poop it out or take a long nap no research has shown negative side effects to date and I have not been able to find any case studies that didn’t involve THC. No liver damage and no kidney damage unlike what is currently being promoted and pushed.Promotes Overall Animal Health:CBD taken at low levels on a daily basis can certainly promote your Pets’ overall health and have a positive impact on his or her day to day life. From reducing inflammation to aiding in social anxiety situations CBD can benefit your pet. We would certainly recommend a daily dose. And as always with anything we read or review there is more knowledge that we need to seek and more research conducted! https://mirthemp.com/does-cbd-work-for-pets/?feed_id=15175&_unique_id=6393bffcc09a0 #CBDforPets

How to make cannabis oil
Tumblr media
Weed oil is one of the most flexible substances to have in the home. It tends to be utilized for any cannabis edibles, from pot brownies to weed pan-sears. Very much dosed cannabis oil will give you an incredible high, and may likewise assist with rest, relief from discomfort, and unwinding.
Hand crafted cannabis-injected oil like the one we frame here is substantially more intense than hemp oil or CBD-just oil since it is utilizing the whole plant — frequently called full-range. Full-range oil contains CBD, yet additionally the plant's other cannabinoids, including THC, CBN, and that's just the beginning. These cannabinoids all work as one to make their belongings more grounded, a peculiarity known as the "company impact."
With regards to the high, a small amount of cannabis oil makes a huge difference. Edibles have been found to offer impacts multiple times serious areas of strength for as smoking a similar sum. This is on the grounds that when it's processed, THC goes through the liver and becomes 11-hydroxy-THC. This compound change carries with it a solid body high. That is the reason dosing accurately is significant.
When you get the means down, making cannabis-implanted oil at home is simple. You can utilize family things like a pot, a bricklayer container, and sifter. Simply remember the kind of oil you'll pick, alongside the best type of cannabis for your need.
Hemp Oil, CBD Oil, THC, or…
Your decision! You can make cannabis-imbued oil with hemp or maryjane, contingent upon what is legitimate and accessible in your space. Or then again, what you're wanted final products are. Hemp oil will just hold back CBD (or an extremely little measure of THC), while pot injected oil will probably contain both THC and CBD. The proportion and convergence of THC and additionally CBD relies upon the kind of weed and specific plant it came from.
Involving Decarboxylated Cannabis for Oil
The cannabinoid intensifies tracked down in crude cannabis (THCA and CBDA) are not equivalent to those found in cannabis that has been warmed -, for example, those breathed in (THC and CBD) when you light or disintegrate cannabis, or while cooking with cannabis. The method involved with warming and "initiating" cannabis is called decarboxylation. It makes cannabis psychoactive, and furthermore more powerful for restorative applications.
Most cannabis oil recipes call for cannabis that has proactively been appropriately decarboxylated first. The most well-known and complain free way is to decarb cannabis in the stove, and afterward add it to oil over an exceptionally low intensity subsequently - staying away from additional decarboxylation.
Tumblr media
SUPPLIES REQIRED
1 cup of approximately ground decarboxylated cannabis. To be more exact, I recommend to utilize a kitchen scale to weigh out roughly 7 to 10 grams (a quarter ounce or simply finished), contingent upon your resistance.
1 cup coconut oil or other oil of decision, like olive oil. We like to utilize natural coconut oil since it is strong at room temperature (and tastes great), which makes it wonderful to eat a minuscule spoonful of, spread on bread like margarine, or use in a balm. (Note that our balm recipe calls for 1.5 cups coconut oil, so increase assuming you plan to make that. Assuming you favor your completed cannabis oil to stay in fluid structure, utilize olive oil, fractionated (fluid) coconut oil, or other consumable oil of decision.
Discretionary: A couple of grams of crude cannabis. Notwithstanding decarboxylated cannabis, we like to add somewhat small bunch of crude local bud to our oil also. While the hugest and irrefutable medical advantages from cannabis are credited to dynamic THC and CBD (found in decarbed cannabis), there are additionally arising concentrates on showing some encouraging medical advantages from their crude structures - THCA and CBDA. In this manner, we like to utilize a tad bit of each to make a full-range and balanced completed item.
A twofold evaporator, or make-shift twofold kettle, (for example, a glass pyrex bowl or treated steel bowl roosted on top of a pan with water beneath) OR a simmering pot/slow cooker
Cheesecloth, similar to this natural unbleached cheesecloth
Fine lattice sifter
Glass bowl
Capacity holder, for example, a bricklayer container with cover
Suggested: a test thermometer
Note: This cycle will make a genuinely impressive cannabis scent in your home
The most effective method to MAKE Custom made CANNABIS OIL
Tumblr media
The main part of making cannabis oil is to not overheat it. As a matter of fact, a few people decide to add decarbed cannabis to oil and permit it to imbue at room temperature (in obscurity) for a long time, as opposed to warming it by any means.
The intensity applied in this recipe basically facilitates the cannabinoid extraction cycle to tie with oil. Nonetheless, in light of the fact that we are beginning with currently decarboxylated cannabis, the objective is to try not to warm it north of 200 degrees. 120 to 180°F is far better. Keeping a lower temperature will protect the generally dynamic THC and CBD content as well as the terpenes. That is, except if you purposefully need to change THC over completely to CBN to make an extremely tired and calm eventual outcome.
That is where the twofold evaporator or slow cooker (with a low temperature setting) prove to be useful! Considerably over the most minimal fire, warming oil in a pot straightforwardly on the oven is substantially more challenging to forestall overheating, and furthermore makes "problem areas" - obliterating our valuable cannabinoids.
I recommend checking the oil temperature with a test thermometer if conceivable. Since oils have a higher edge of boiling over (or "smoke point") than water, the oil won't give off an impression of being essentially as hot as it truly is! For instance, the oil might be above and beyond 212 degrees however not apparently air pocket and bubble like water would at a similar temperature.

These are some of the natural ways I help support my daughter's anxiety and ADHD. I give her Vitamin D, Lion's mane, and Green tea (L-theanine) in the mornings for focus and a mood boost. At night, she gets calming supplements like Ashwagandha, Magnesium and L-theanine. (She also gets THC-free CBD oil, as needed). A common side effect of anxiety and ADHD is poor sleep. Many of the nighttime supplements help with this as well.
It is worth noting that my daughter does guided meditations at night, or restorative yoga/meditation with me. For those wondering, yes we have tried medications. Three, in fact. However, all of them made her not feel like herself. More concerning is that she started to show symptoms of depression and described it as feeling like she "can't get out from under a heavy cloud of sadness." I was not willing to trade focus for her mental health. I listened to her, and we found that the natural supplements listed have shown more improvement in both areas than the medications, and without the negative side effects. I hope this post helps bring awareness to some of your other options, and helps you find what works for you or your children. Be well!

Exploring Cannabis Edibles: Production and Effects
Cannabis edibles have gained significant popularity in recent years as an alternative way to consume cannabis. Unlike smoking or vaping, edibles offer a discreet, smoke-free method of enjoying the effects of cannabis. They come in various forms such as cookies, candies, chocolates, and beverages, making them appealing to a wide range of consumers. Let's delve into how cannabis edibles are made and understand their effects.
Production Process:
Decarboxylation: The key step in making cannabis edibles is decarboxylation. This process involves heating raw cannabis flower or concentrate to activate the cannabinoids like THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) present in the plant material. This activation is necessary for the cannabinoids to have psychoactive or therapeutic effects.
Infusion: Once decarboxylated, the cannabis is infused into a fat or oil base like butter, coconut oil, or vegetable oil. This infusion process allows the cannabinoids to bind with the fat molecules, which makes them more readily absorbed by the body when ingested.
Cooking/Baking: The infused oil or butter is then used in various recipes to create cannabis-infused edibles. These can range from baked goods like brownies, cookies, and cakes to savory items like candies, chocolates, gummies, and even beverages.
Effects of Cannabis Edibles:
The effects of cannabis edibles differ from smoking or vaping due to the way cannabinoids are absorbed into the body. When you ingest cannabis through edibles, the cannabinoids are metabolized by the liver before entering the bloodstream. This process produces a different set of effects that are typically more potent and longer-lasting compared to inhalation methods. Here are some key points about the effects of cannabis edibles:
Delayed Onset: One distinctive feature of edibles is their delayed onset of effects. While smoking or vaping cannabis delivers effects almost instantly, edibles can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in. This delay occurs because the cannabinoids must be digested and metabolized before reaching the bloodstream.
Potency: Edibles can be quite potent due to the concentration of cannabinoids in the infused oil or butter. It's important for users to start with a low dose and wait to gauge the effects before consuming more. Overconsumption of edibles can lead to unpleasant experiences characterized by intense intoxication, anxiety, or paranoia.
Longer Duration: Another notable aspect of edibles is their prolonged duration of effects. Once the cannabinoids are absorbed into the bloodstream, the effects can last anywhere from 4 to 8 hours or even longer, depending on the individual's metabolism and tolerance.
Body High vs. Head High: Many users report experiencing more of a body-centered high with edibles, characterized by deep relaxation and sedation. This is in contrast to the cerebral, head-focused high often associated with smoking or vaping cannabis.
Safety and Responsible Use:
Using cannabis edibles responsibly involves understanding dosage, onset time, and potential effects. Here are some tips for safe consumption:
Start Low, Go Slow: Begin with a low dose (typically 5-10mg of THC) and wait at least 2 hours before considering consuming more.
Read Labels: Always check the THC/CBD content per serving in commercial edibles to better manage dosage.
Store Safely: Keep cannabis edibles securely stored away from children and pets, preferably in child-resistant packaging.
Avoid Mixing with Alcohol: Combining edibles with alcohol can amplify the effects and increase the risk of adverse reactions.
In conclusion, cannabis edibles offer a convenient and discrete way to enjoy the effects of cannabis without smoking. Understanding how they are made and their effects is crucial for safe and enjoyable consumption. As the legal landscape surrounding cannabis evolves, edibles continue to be a popular choice for both recreational and medicinal users seeking an alternative to traditional consumption methods.
